Fractional Currency Fr#1232spwmb Specimen $0 This is a Wide Margins Specimen of the back of the 2nd issue 5 cents note. It is well centered and likely kept from a higher grade by some minor stains along the top, well away from the design.

Fractional Currency Fr#1242 1st Issue $0 10 cents. Uneven margins are offset by much lighter folds and a couple of pinholes. A small ink spot shows on the back. Good color adds to its nice overall look.

Fractional Currency Fr#1246 2nd Issue $0 10 cents. Well centered on both sides, a real plus for this type. The S, 18 and 63 surcharges are bold and quite clear. The oval around the portrait is shifted to the right but is quite bold and shows no signs of oxidation. A sharp corner fold and the lower left is all that prevents a CH CU grade.

Fractional Currency Fr#1253 3rd issue $0 10 cents. A bold and well centered red back makes this beauty a very desirable note. It comes with autographed sigs of Colby and Spinner that are very nice with no signs of ink rot. There are 3 large margins with the top one trimmed very close but not into the design. The overprints show no signs of oxidation.

Fractional Currency Fr#1259 4th Issue $0 10 cents. Nice eye appeal as the color is good and the margins well balanced, so important on fractionals! This one has a bold red seal and blue fibers at the right. A small pinhole in the lower right margin is mentioned for accuracy.

Fractional Currency Fr#1264 5th Issue $0 10 cents. This eye appealing Meredith note has good margins for the issue, the left one bigger than the others. It has bold printing and a dark green seal. A common note so perfect for a collector desiring the assemble a denomination set.

Fractional Currency Fr#1265 5th Issue $0 10 cents. A very nice match to the above Meredith note. The margins are decent and the color quite nice, this one with a red seal and a long, thin key.

Fractional Currency Fr#1286 2nd Issue $0 25 cents. Not only is this attractive note quite well centered, but the oval surcharge is very well centered over the Washington portrait. This note has the S-18-63 surcharges on the back. Any fold or wear is well hidden in the slab.

Fractional Currency Fr#1292 3rd Issue $0 25 cents. A very attractive Fessenden note that has good margins and excellent color. The red back is bold and very well centered with deep embossing very evident. Kravitz lists this Fr# as "Very Scarce (Sleeper)" in his Fractional Currency book. Check this one out if it is on your want list as it is quite sharp.

Fractional Currency Fr#1294 3rd Issue $0 25 cents. This green back Fessenden note has a bold, well balanced back design with plenty of embossing. The front is trimmed close at the left with the other 3 margins quite nice.

Corner folds at the upper left and lower right prevent a CU grade. Listed as scarce by Rob Kravitz in his fractional currency book. SOLD

Although unbalanced and a bit uneven, the margins are well above average for this issue. Excellent embossing and bold color make it especially eye appealing. A fold at the very far right edge keeps it from a CU grade.

Fractional Currency Fr#1339 3rd Issue. $0 50 cents. A bold overprint and dark green back makes this Spinner note very attractive. Close at the top and right, the other 2 margins are very large. This note has seen a fair amopunt of circulation but retains a good look.

Fractional Currency Fr#1340 3rd Issue $0 50 cents. Superb embossing shows on this rare Spinner note. This green back has the 1 and a position indicators. Trimmed close all around, just into the design along the bottom. A very rare and pricey note in CU but a center fold keeps it affordable to many.

Fractional Currency Fr#1355 3rd Issue $0 50 cents. This red back Justice note has close but well balanced margins and a bold overprint. The autographed sigs of Colby and Spinner are bold but a small spot of ink rot shows at the front of the Spinner signature. The red back is quite nice but shows a bit of light but overall aging. A tough note that should please many collectors.

Fractional Currency Fr#1365 3rd Issue $0 50 cents. This Justice note comes with the A-2-6-5 surcharges on the back, along with position indicator a on the front. Close at the right, the other margins are quite good. The back is well centered and bold green.

Fractional Currency Fr#1374 4th Issue $0 50 cents. The popular and very desirable Lincoln note in a good collector grade and price level. Closely margined at the top and right, it has bold printing and excellent color. The folds are light and do not adversely affect its good eye appeal. One of the keys to a type set of fractionals.
