Agriculture and Industry seated on bale of cotton at center, Justice left, Washington right, green counters and FIFTY. A most attractive example of this early issue, one of the earliest available notes that many CSA collectors can afford. It is well margined with crispy paper and a bold overprint. Minor ink rot is seen in the Tyler signature, along with several minor tears along the top. Neither adversely affects its good overall appearance. We think that this one might do very well for a good many CSA collectors.

Large sailing ship at center, PF-13, Cr32. This well printed note comes on bright, thin paper and shows decent margins most all around. Red serial# 69919 shows very boldly on either side of the sailing ship. Boldly signed with no sign of any ink rot and no margin tears as usually seen on these thin paper notes. This eye appealing beauty represents this better type very well.

Train with straight steam at center, milkmaid left. A very attractive note with close but acceptable margins all around, so tough for this issue. Three interest paid stamps on back - Montgomery, Macon and Columbus. A light bend and minor handling prevent a CU grade that it sure appears to deserve.

State capitol at Richmond, VA at center, C.G. Memminger right, full red tint, blue back, PF-10, Cr564. Although not in top grade, the full margins all around make this a special note. The red tint is a bit deeper than usual and the folds are light, seen a bit more on the back than the front. It faces up so well that many will find it better than most CUs seen. The blue back is bold and bright on this crispy beauty.
